Ancient DNA analysis is one of the most promising and reliable tools in the identification of historical individuals' remains. The aim of the study was to create genetic profiles of the representatives of the first Polish ruling dynasty-the Piast Dynasty (X-XIV centuries) and fill existing gaps in the knowledge of their genealogy.
