K72 uses a 72-component statistical model built from the combined 1000 Genomes and Human Genome Diversity Project reference panels. Different tools may return different patterns because their reference samples and model settings differ.
Percentages describe relative similarity to components in this model. They are not literal measures of nationality, ethnicity, cultural identity, or a specific ancestor.
DNA Genics accepts raw DNA files from major testing companies, including 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FTDNA, Living DNA, and supported whole genome sequencing files.
If a compatible DNA file is already uploaded, results are typically prepared within 2 to 24 hours. An email notification is sent when processing finishes.
Very small components should be treated as tentative. They may reflect weak model fit, overlap between reference populations, or statistical noise rather than a distinct genealogical connection.
