Abstract
Summary of the research findings
Present-day French genetic diversity is largely shaped by its geography, with genetic drift in the regions and differential admixture with neighbouring populations. Here we investigate the demographic processes that have shaped French genetic variation through time and space by generating genome-wide data from 243 individuals radiocarbon dated to between about 7,000 and 200 years ago from multiple regions in France.
